Job Description
The Advisor, Quality Assurance leads Long Term Care (LTC) QA efforts on large to extra- large size projects, and is accountable for ensuring the quality outcomes of assigned projects and requests. The Advisor is responsible for leading and managing comprehensive test strategies, plans, and environments for manual or automated testing, and leads and actively participates in test case development and execution for assigned projects and requests. The Advisor is responsible for leading their teams to produce high quality, on-time and within budget projects.

* Project test leadership for the largest projects or highest-impact enterprise projects. This activity includes overseeing of test planning and execution efforts to ensure project requirements are satisfied.
* Release-level test planning and management to ensure quality targets, schedule, commitments and budgets are met
* Team supervision and management including career management, coaching, and mentoring of more junior staff
* Individual contributor with exceptionally broad expertise across LTC technology and/or application areas, and QA practices and processes
* Lead defect review meetings with business analysts, developers and fellow QA team members
* Proactively communicate with developers, business analysts and system administrators to resolve issues or questions pertaining to test creation or execution and demonstrate strong attention-to-detail, analytical skills, organizational skills

Required Qualifications
* 5 years’ experience with the full spectrum of functional Quality Assurance testing and systems development lifecycles (Agile)
* 3-5 years’ experience working on project in Water Fall, Agile or Extreme programming software development practices
* 2+ years hands on test experience working with AS/400 system & synon tool
* 2+ years’ experience in back end testing writing SQL, understanding of data relationship
* 2+ years’ experience in Web Services Testing (SOAP and RESTFUL) desired
* 1+ years hands on experience with Team Foundation Server/ Microsoft Test Manager (MTM)
* 3+ years hands on experience Oracle databases, relational data models and SQL
* 3-5 years’ experience in offshore/onshore model

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Rally tool
* Knowledge of Test Automation Scripting tool (UFT/QTP), selenium web driver preferred
* Experience in coaching, counseling and mentoring direct reports
* Experience in writing and giving performance reviews to direct reports
* Eagerness to work in a team environment
* Understanding of batch processing and familiar with batch scheduling tool (Control M)
* Effectively works within budget
* Proven abilities to improve and reduce risk
* Proven ability to adapt to frequent changes
* Proven ability to work to schedule and meet deadlines
* Flexibility to handle directional changes and balance priorities to ensure product success
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
* Familiarity with UNIX, Windows NT environment
* Excellent communication and documentation skills
* Demonstrate strong interpersonal, relationship building/relationship management and facilitation skills
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fluid organization where priorities shift to respond to changing business needs

* Masters degree preferred in business, computer science or technology related field with 2 years Software Quality Assurance experience, or BA/BS degree in business, computer science or technology related field and 5 years Software Quality Assurance experience
* 5 years experience with the full spectrum of functional Quality Assurance testing and systems development lifecycles (Agile) a must
