Jobing Description
1. Reports to Vice President of Sales and Marketing
2. Establish and maintain retail store route for stores which are carrying company products including fresh boxed beef, fresh ground beef, processed products, frozen products. Works with store personnel to insure best possible product displays, correct signage, correct pricing displays, adequate inventory. Communicates with meat market manager to determine issues which are preventing sales growth, report those issues back to management, implement solutions to those issues at store level as directed.
3. Strong communication (both verbal and computer) skills are required and have the ability to communicate with meat market managers, merchandisers, grocery managers, district managers, and regional directors.
4. Regular reporting of store audits to supervisor. Audits will include products on display, signage and point of sale materials on display, availability of ad product in store, product inventory in storage at store, issues and questions from store personnel.
5. Assists in supporting retail store events such as product demos, store grand openings; re-grand openings which involve company branded products. Experience with suggestive selling or selling events tailored to a store or group of stores is required.
6. Requires previous experience with managing a retail meat market, meat cutting experience, and background working with perishables in a retail meat environment to include well developed merchandising skills and experience in building /merchandising displays.
7. Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
8. Job is based in Houston, Texas metropolitan area, and candidate must have reliable transportation.
