ABC 7, Washington DC is seeking a National Sales Assistant. The position has the responsibility for sales department activity to include, but not limited to, the creation of packages in coordination with the National Sales Manager, performing and distributing daily contract confirmations, distribution of overnight ratings. The National Sales Assistant will maintain sales research material and assist in researching discrepancies and advise the appropriate person, produce competitive request and spot times, maintain correspondence for assigned Account Executives and Managers. A High school diploma is required. Three years of progressively responsible general office experience, preferably in the areas of sales or broadcasting. Demonstrated ability to use spreadsheet and word processing software. Knowledge of business correspondence formats. Ability to type 50 w.p.m. Must be able to effectively interact with staff, management and clients.
