The Assistant Store manager supervises store staffing and assists in managing store operations in manager-s absence. Assists in store merchandising functions, ensuring sufficient inventory levels to meet customer demand and in training and evaluating staff performance. Resolves daily operational issues within established guidelines during assigned shifts. Ensures company assets are safeguarded. Overtime required during peak periods.

Skills / Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma plus prior retail experience and one year supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of overall retail store operations and familiarity with P&L functions preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (bilingual skills preferred in some locations).
  • Ability to stand for 7-8 hours per day and lift 50 pounds.
  • Must have a valid California driver-s license, automobile insurance and DMV printout at time of application. Ability to work flexible schedules as required.
